Pax Nigeriana

Pax Nigeriana Issue 2 Cover

And yet another topic I had meant to blog about and forgot for some reason.

Pax Nigeriana has an interesting approach to releasing their comic. they are going fully online and banking on a subscription model. They have offered the first two issues of the comic book free and I presume the rest will be available to subscribers only.

The thing that attracted me to Pax Nigeriana was the cover art which you can see on their website. The art inside is actually quite good as well and there are some really good panels (see the lower-left panel on page 7 of issue 1). The comic seems to be centred around the civil war and according to the summary on the site, deals with what would have happened if Nigeria took another lesson from the civil war and advanced the way it was supposed to.

The first issue is actually pretty good and I am about to give the second one a read as well. Who knows? I might actually subscribe after that. It is only N1,600 or $20 for the full thing.

Now, about the company that produces Pax Nigeriana, Treaty Think Tank, on their website they say that they are a commercial think tank and not just solely comic book publishers. The rest of the website doesn’t seem to work at the moment, but that doesn’t affect the comic. Now, go have a look.
